Over two dozen Olympic champions, coaches and further global sports figures have endorsed a statement urging a halt to the execution of a boxing titleholder and trainer, who is on death row in the nation.

Increasing Global Anger

Amidst growing global condemnation over the nation's increasing application of capital punishment as a tool of repression, the powerfully expressed statement denounces the authorities's verdict to maintain the capital punishment of the athlete.
